robert

Robert Barrett is the Head Instructor at the Art Studios, Bob studied at the Art School of The Society of Arts & Crafts in Detroit Michigan. He opened his first studio in Windsor Ontario, in 1963.

His love of art followed him west to Vancouver British Columbia, where he opened the Danielle Gallery in 1967 to instruct in Portraiture and life Drawing. Throughout his years as a professional portrait artist and a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists, he has developed a unique method of teaching art that has proven very successful.

It is Bob’s believe that a persons age, ability or disability, are not obstacles when learning art. Anyone can develop their skills and explore their hidden talents to reveal the inner artist in all of us .

Mr. Barrett has developed and built studios where any one can come to learn Art. His current passion is “Inspirational Art”.

Art Studio Opportunities

The Art Studios would like to interview Artists for part time, and full time Instructional positions at our future Neighborhood Art Studios. If you are advanced in drawing skills, prominent in at least two mediums ( oil painting, watercolour, acrylics, soft pastels, etc) and feel you would like to work with children or adults, please contact us. An interview will be set up to view your portfolio so a second personal interview can be arranged. All Instructors at the Neighbourhood Art Studios must submit to a RCMP, or Local Police, background check. All Instructors must be bondable.
